Throughout time there have songs on how the pain of breaking up is brutal. How much he misses his true love. Pain drives the world, let’s be honest.

But does anyone else find it remotely awkward that the pop sensation, Katy Perry is in the news about having a deranged husband, Russell Brand and how they are going through a messy divorce while her hit song on the radio is titled “The One That Got Away”.

The song is currently hitting the charts at number 6 as the California native sings her heart out about loosing her “soul mate”.

Russell Brand, an English comedian filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. The pair married in India in October 2010.
